ASCOMS is a Private Medical College has a 100 seat intake. All the 100 seats are filled through State Counselling because Jammu and Kashmir doesn't participate in All India Counselling.

• 40 seats are allotted for Government Quota and the fee is Approximately Rs.4,50,000 per student per annum.
• 40 seats are allotted for Management Quota and the fee is Approximately Rs.4,50,000 per student per annum.
• 10 seats are allotted for Weaker sections and the fees is Rs.39,000 per student per annum
• 10 seats are allotted for NRIs and the fees is approximately  19565 USD.

And all these seats are filled through NEET score on the basis of merit and preference through State Counselling. In 2019, under State Quota, 489 marks secured a seat in ASCOMS under General Category. That was the cut off. Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So if you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 525 and if you belong to Reserved Categories, you will need 475 and above. This is for Government Quota seat. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling.
