1. Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years or 3 years after 10+2/Post-BSc/Post-Diploma).

2. Final year candidates can also apply . Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent can also apply.

So, you must have Post BSc degree, if you are doing bsc, to apply for GATE examination.

Yes, you can apply for GATE after B.Sc according the new guidelines released in 2021. You can check the document of announcement of IIT Bombay about GATE exam on official website

If you are currently in third year or higher grade or already completed b.sc,

There is a program called Post - bsc integrated degree programs in Engineering/technology (4 years) only those candidates are eligible for GATE exam.

By Only doing bsc you can't go for GATE
