Dear Aspirant, VIT university conducts its own exam called VITEEE. You have to appear for VITEEE and then the university will release your AIR in VITEEE exam and then you would get shortlisted for various branches available at VIT according to your rankings and then only you would be called for the counseling process. JEE Mains does not come into the picture for admission at VIT.

The admission application form for VIT this year VITEEE 2019 is not considering JEE exam marks. Vit vellore doesn't takes students of jee mains score. They have their own paper for admission. VITEEE , it is conducted every year in early april and more than 2lakhs students appear for it's exam.
