can we keep application of gen ews in mains application as it will take time to get the certificate. please answer

You need not worry because you can upload the application of gen ews or submit any declaration of ews form . But it is mandatory to have a ews certificate before jee advanced because you need to upload the ews certificate.
An ews certificate is issued by :-
1- Family income should not be less than 8L per annum.
2- You should not own more than 5 acres of land.
3- You should not own a residential area of 1000 sqft .

If you are enquiring regarding JEE Main application the if you do not have General-EWS certificate then you can fill the 'DECLARATION BY THE CANDIDATE IN LIEU OF GEN-EWS CERTIFICATE', scan the certificate and upload it in the place of category certificate. You do not have to upload the category certificate application. The declaration certificate is given in the information brochure of JEE Main 2022 in Annexure 1B in page 47. You need to take a print out of it, fill your details, scan the certificate abd upload it in PDF format. At the time of admission you can submit the category certificate in the allotted institute. The category certificate must be issued on or after January 31, 2022.
