can we leave from dual degree in iit with out completion of 5year course ,after 4year course

hope you are doing great. As per your query  I would glad to tell you that procedure of dual degree programmes are same in all universities . Dual degree programmes are usally meant for saving the time and completing the two degree at the time . The main drawbag of dual degree is that you have to complete the whole course for getting a single degree you cannot leave after completing only one degree as it will be loss of fees to the colleges

I hope you are doing fine, Yes you can change from 5 year dual degree to a 4 year BTech at the end of your first year given that you have a good grade (it is treated just like a branch change). Later generally you cant (unless you have a great convincing skill to convince your HoD).

But you can change from 4 year BTech to 5 year during your third year (even for this you will need a good grade).

At present you dont have that option incase of 5 Year Dual Degree Courses, to leave college with a BTech after 4 Years. Of couse if youre in BTech, you have an option of converting to Dual Degree after 1st/2nd/3rd year across most IITs. However, with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) to be implemented in future, you may see a similar policy.
