Bank PO stands for Bank Probationary Officer. It is a managerial level post which is offered in different Public Sector Banks as well as Private Sector Banks across India.
You cannot give bank exams after 12th immediately . The minimum eligibility to get a bank job is graduation. However there are peon, housekeeping jobs where 12th pass is required. For joining Government Banks, you will have to appear for IBPS exams after graduation.
There are certain eligibility criteria which have to be met in order to appear for a Bank PO exam. Although the criteria may vary from bank to bank, listed below are some of the common criteria which have to be met, irrespective of the banks.
*The age bracket mentioned above is applicable to applicants belonging to the General category only. An age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for applicants belonging to OBC category. On the other hand, applicants belonging to SC or ST category will get an age relaxation of 5 years.

For appearing a bank exam, first you need to complete your graduation. After completing your graduation, you can easily give the bank exams. The gap after class 12 doesn't really affect your career. After the gap, you can join some institution to complete your B-com or BBA so that it will be helpful for you to prepare for bank exams as the subjects for which you have to get prepared for banking will be there in your graduation course. Thereafter, you can appear the bank exam after completing your graduation.
