Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]:
- BPT course in India is an undergraduate course of 4½ years including internship of 6 months where the candidate will have to go through the intense training in the field of Physiotherapy and Exercise Therapy.
- Being an Assistant Physiotherapist, Therapy Manager one can work in some of the reputed and well-known institutes of medical science like AIIMS and also in the International Federation of Cricket representing National teams.
- Previously the awareness about physiotherapy was very minimal in the general public but now they understand what it can do so the Job opportunities for BPT. is growing high in India and creating huge job opportunities outside as well.
- Physiotherapy is very challenging and demanding as one may need to work for long hours and have tremendous patience as some patients may not respond to immediate treatment.
- BPT course eligibility criteria are to have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and biology (including practical) and these subjects should be a part of the study to be eligible for the BPT course admission.
- Apart from rigorous education , one needs to have lots of physical stamina because of the nature of the work.
