Hello Vaibhav,

The admission procedure in North America for USA and Canada differs with the prospective course of admission.

  • For undergraduate admission, you will be required to submit scores of either the ACT or the SAT exam.
  • For postgraduate admission you will be required to submit GRE General scores for most programs and GMAT scores for MBA programs.
  • For medical programs of study, you will have to submit MCAT scores.
  • For programs in law, you will have to submit LSAT scores.

Apart from these scores, international students from non-English speaking countries or candidates whose first language is not English will have to submit English language proficiency scores. These scores can be from either of the following exams:

Additionally, apart from various exam scores, you will have to submit a number of supporting documents as a part of the application material. This includes a Statement of Purpose or Personal Statement, Letters of Recommendation and official transcripts/degrees from prior educational qualifications. Specific programs also require additional requirements for admission like portfolios, writing samples, essays etc.

After submission of an application for admission, you will be notified regarding your admission status via email by the university of application. If you are selected, then you may seek enrolment to the university as well as scholarship options for your program of study.
