NCERT is indeed the best book to start with and its like a Bible for Chemistry, but if you want to score well in UPSEE then you cannot only rely on NCERT.
For physics, go for HC verma after completing NCERT and for Chemistry go for RC Mukherjee after completing NCERT by heart.You must also solve previous year question papers.

NCERT is enough for securing good rank in UPSEE but you need to go beyond them by practicing last year question papers from other competitive books. Follow NCERT for almost all topics and be sure to make your concept clear.

UPSEE exam syllabus is basically based on the ncert syllabus. But the most important thing you should better grasp knowledge of all the chapters. and yes ofcourse You can score 150+ marks by studying ncert books of physics and chemistry.UPSEE exam level is not so difficult. You can crack it easily. but you should take care of some points for cracking any exam:-

1.)Get to know about the syllabus and thoroughly go through it.

2.)Maintain your time table and have consistency to follow it.

3.)Take Guidance from your teachers and revise everyday.

4.)Always motivate yourself to achieve success in your life.

5.Practice test papers of previous years.
