There are lots of good medical colleges in India. But you will find the majority of the good college in the states:

These are the top 3 states in which the MBBS top colleges exist and they are followed by Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

There are many states which are having very good top medical colleges of India.

If you go through the counselling data we will see College of Delhi(UT) are on the top ,then its Karnataka,Maharastra ,Tamilnadu and Kerala.

But in my opinion you must look at the college and not the state.
