Staff Selection Commission will be releasing the notification for SSC Junior Engineer. The notification is expected to be released anytime soon by the authorities.
There is delay in the SSC JE notification by the Staff Selection Commission. According to the SSC calendar, application forms were supposed to be released on 15 December 2018. However, there is no notification about the application forms.
SSC JE is a national level entrance exam conducted for the recruitment of Junior Engineers.
Notification of SSC JE and the application forms will release anytime soon by the authorities.
SSC JE exam has two papers (Paper 1 and paper 2). Paper I consist of objective type questions in the computer based mode and paper 2 consist of written exam.
Candidates qualifying papers 1 will be eligible to apply for paper 2 exam.
Exam Pattern of SSC JE Paper 1
is as follows-
Paper 1 constitute of three parts-
Part 1- General Intelligence and Reasoning
Part 2- General Awareness
Part 3- Part – A (Civil & Structural) or
Part – B (Electrical) or
Part – C (Mechanical)
Part 1 and Part 2 is same for all the candidates whereas Part 3 is different as per the stream applied by the candidates.
Part 1 (General Intelligence Reasoning) and Part 2 (General Awareness) consist of 50 questions. Part 3 (General Engineering) has 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
There is negative marking in the paper. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Now, candidates qualifying the Paper 1 will be eligible to apply for Paper 2.
Exam pattern of SSC JE Paper 2
is as follows-
Paper 2 is a written examination and in this paper candidates can attempt only that part which thry have mentioned in the application form like civil & structural or electrical or mechanical.
Paper 2 consist of 300 marks and duration of the exam is 2 hours and there is no negative marking in this paper.
To appear for the exam, candidates must know the detailed

Nationality
-
Candidate must be either – a citizen of India,
- a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan (such candidates should have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Governemnt of India)
- tibetan Refugee who came to India with the intention of permanently settling in India (such candidate should have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Governemnt of India )
- candidate who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam but is a person of Indian origin only and has migrated with an intention of permanently settling in India.(such candidates should have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India)
Age Limit
Age limit varies post wise. Candidates upto 32 years of age can apply for the exam. Relaxation in Age limit is also provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have completed Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering.
