Hello aspirant,
Perfusion Technology is the study of physiology and the pathology of the lungs and the connected respiratory organs of the human body. The course also educates students on the related equipment that is used to support or accept the function of the lungs and the heart during surgical procedures. Professionals with this degree operate the heart-lung machines and other high-end equipment under the advice of the healthcare practitioner. These professionals observe optimal blood pressure and negotiate with appropriate pharmacological and mechanical experimentation if something goes wrong, to enhance tissue viability. B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology is offered as a three-year full-time course, and exams are administered once a year in the non-semester pattern.
A minimum eligibility criteria to join the B.Sc. Perfusion Technology course is to have 50-55% total marks in the 10+2 examinations or its equivalent. Students should have finished their higher secondary education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as their main subjects. Some universities and colleges may conduct an entrance exam and admit students based on their marks in these competitive examinations.
Hope this helps,
All the Best!!
