The role of Chartered Accountants include:

Tasks Responsibilities
Financial Accounting Manage accounts, Performing internal audits, salaries and wages management, Send out invoices and Managing tax
Auditing As per Company Act, perform statutory audits , Internal audits
Cost Accounting Forecasting, Budgeting & control, Expenditure control


Average salary is between INR 6-7 lakhs per annum in India. It could rise on an average to INR40-60 lakhs.

After clearing the Group exams, you will be eligible for CA Articleship and you need to clear the CA Final examination. ICAI will award you a degree and you will be eligible to use CA as a suffix to your name. It takes minimum five years to become a Chartered Accountant.
