cat Syllabus and questions papers
CAT exam is conducted for a duration of two hours with 100 questions, it consists of three sections namely QA,DILR and VARC ,for each correct answer three mark is awarded, there's negative marking scheme,for each incorrect attempt one mark is deducted, however there is no negative marking in non-MCQs questions, the respective syllabus is as follows;
Quantitative Ability consists of time and work, simple and compound interest, time, speed and distance, probability, geometry and mensuration, number system, basic arithmetic, algebra, permutation and combination, profit, loss, discounts, trigonometry, logarithms and sets .
Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning consists of blood relations, puzzles, data sufficiency, graphs, seating and data arrangement, tables, caslets, clocks and calendars, assumptions and binary logic, syllogism and venn diagram.
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension consists of word usage, fill in the blanks, odd sentences, para jumbles, para summary, reading comprehension passages, sentence completion and correction.

CAT Examination has basically 3 sections - Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.
Quantitative Aptitude consists of Number System, Geometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Time and Work like topics.
Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation consists of Seating Arrangement, Blood Relation, Syllogism, Tables, Graphs, Data Caselets like questions.
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension consists of Para-jumbles & para-summary, sentence completion, inferences, RC passages based questions.
