CBSE follows NCERT Books and questions are asked from the syllabus of these books only. Once you have completed studying these NCERT books, you can refer to some of the reference books.

Its not clear to which subject you are refering to, but since it's the assigned book by CBSE then it's sure that few questions do comes from book and if not the questions have the link with NCERT. 

Otherwise for practise you can refer several supplement as well . As of now it's advise to solve mock papers or previous years papers for any subject.
