In most of the cases it depends on the teacher who checks the answer sheet. So it is most likely that teacher will award you the marks on the basis of step marking. Some of the rules by the CBSE for step marking are as below:-
>> If the question is for one or two marks, then it is not likely that step marking will be done for such questions.
>> but if the question is for three to five marks, then this step marking will be done and the marks will be awarded according to that.
>> If only formula and other required details are written then 0.5 to one mark will be awarded.
>> if the answer is correct, but these steps are wrong, then 0.5 marks will be awarded.
>> if the answer is wrong due to any error or calculation mistake. But these steps are correct then one mark will be deducted. It means if the question is of five Marks and you have only written the answer wrong, but these steps are correct, then you will be awarded with the four marks.
