My dear , IN Jadavpur University , u can get a well education in chemical engineering, because in this University u will get FOREIGN EXPOSURE..AND VERY GOOD LAB ..AND ALL INSTRUMENTS IN LAB...

NOW, come to the course...if u want to do ..
Bachelor's in Chemical engineering this will take 4 years ..
and if u want to do MASTERS IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING , IT WILL TAKE 2 YEARS ..

LASTLY, every year 60%-70% STUDENTS get their placements through hard work..u can get job in Indian oil, BPCL, ONGC, India petroleum Ltd, Vedant etc...
