Chemical engineering from Ramaiha institute of technology is good or civil engineering .
Dear aspirant,
MS Ramaiah Institute of technology is a private university in bangalore. Now coming to your question both are good branches and both are core engineering departments. The opportunities in one may differ like if you like Goverment exams like UPSC, SSC JE and you prefer civil engineering subject like Construction Project Management, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Analysis etc.you must enroll civil engineering but if you want to work in a company like IOCL, ONGC and you prefer chemical engineering subject like thermodynamics, heat transfer , mass transfer you can enroll in chemical engineering. Now coming to college placement you can refer https://www.careers360.com/colleges/ramaiah-institute-of-technology-bangalore/placement for detailed placements.
I can't decide between civil or chemical engineering? Here are some points which might help.
1. The choice and the amount of jobs for civil engineers is also higher than that for chemical engineers.
2. Civil engineering jobs fluctuate a lot with the economy and government capital expenditures, chemical engineers tend to not fluctuate as much.
3. chemical engineers have more choices for their choice of field such as oil/gas, chemicals, biotech, pharmaceuticals, and even automation.
4. The salary of chemical engineers is typically higher than that of civil engineers.
5.The possibility of running a startup or an an independent company is more easy for civil engineers than for chemical engineers .
I hope this helps in choosing right branch for you.
Best of luck for future.
Regards
Madhur

In, my opinion Chemical Engineering is a good option as it has good scope of placements and is a good branch , and demand of chemical engineering is there in the industry.
If you have interest in constructing things, in drawing/ art then you can also take Civil Engineering.

Hi Aspirant,
Both the branches are good in ramaiha institute of technology.
First of all make sure in which field you have more interest then look for college.
I will suggest for chemical engineering.
the branch definitely has higher scope. a lot of opportunity awaits after the 4 years end.
Chemical boasts of companies like Vedanta, IOCL, HPCL, Asian Paints, Schlumberger, etc although the average is the same as 4–5lpa, as would expect in the core sector, the growth is high.
Overall decision is yours.
I hope this was helpful to you.
All the best for your future.
