It is easy for a person from civil engineering background to get a job.The most important thing a civil engineer needs is field experience.Try talking with some local contractors.They might give you a job but the pay would be very less.But the salary increases with experience.Or you could do a BTech and try for government jobs through GATE.Hope I was helpful.
