Civil engineering from Ramaiha institute of technology pros and cons .

Ramaiah Institute, being one of the oldest and most prestigious institutes of Karnataka, definitely is one of the best in the country. But if i have to review one particular branch of it , i would definitely tell you about the pros and cons of that particular branch in this college, and not just the college as a whole.

As for the pros, the college provides excellent educational facilities, as well as highly educated and well versed faculty members. The labs are well equipped, and you can get helpful people all around you.

For the cons, i would say it's more about the branch than the college, the placements for civil engineering are not too outstanding. Not many companies take students from civil, but if you are a good student, you can definitely earn good packages for yourself.

the eligibility criteria for the admission is-

*A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the two years Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.

*The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses)

see there is numerous engineering colleges in india, ramaiha institute of technology is well known college in south india, the college  has excellent reviews from students about it curriculum, college infrastructure, placements records, students faculty ration. however in civil engineering department there is excellent placement but highest packages is drawn from cse department , however if you study hard you would get a handsome package at the end of your study.
