Every stream is good in its own way. However, at the end of the day, everyone looks for better pay scale. On account of that civil engineer can get INR 3,46,700 per annum on an average. Whereas, the food technology in engineering gives you an average of INR 4.26 lakhs per annum. On an average, there is a good scope for food technology in engineering, as compared to civil engineering in India. It may vary in other countries.
