Here are few of the steps that you can follow if you want to be a civil engineer :
- Get a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Try to complete internship while you are pursuing your degree
- Choose a speciality - for example you can select from structural engineering, construction engineering, transportation and development etc
- Get an entry level job and start getting experience
