class 12 up board new syllabus

The syllabus for the year 2020-21 has reduced by 30 percent for classes 9 to 12. The remaining syllabus will be covered in three parts. Following has been removed from the syllabus:
- The 30% of the UP Board syllabus that has been removed from the class 10 civics syllabus includes content on democracy, caste, religion and sexual issues.
- In the class 10 Mathematics syllabus, students this year will not be covering chapters like circle, probability, some trigonometry applications, parallel series and polynomials.
- Class 10 English students will not be studying the lessons -- The Nation Builders, Torch Bearers, Our Indian Music, My Greatest Olympic Prize.
- From the class 10 social science syllabus, information about major national parties and regional parties of India have been removed.
- The science syllabus will not cover properties of metals and nonmetals, early attempts to classify elements into the periodic table, electromagnetic effects, electrical effects, natural resources and our environment.
- From class 12 Hindi, the condemnation of satirist Harishankar Parsai has been omitted.
- Class 12 English students will not be studying Merchant of Venice.
- From the civics syllabus, the certain portions on political party dominance in independent India and the challenges of the Congress system have been removed.
- The history syllabus will not cover the history and nationality, sectarianism and division of 1040 in ‘division based on physical sources’.
- In Sociology, public relations media and communication subjects have also been removed from ‘dimension of globalization’.
- From the class 10 Hindi syllabus, the Varsha Sundari of Mahadevi Varma, the Chandralok of Sumitranandan Pant, the youth of Makhanlal Chaturvedi, and portions of Samas and Bahubrihi have been removed.
Rest of the syllabus has remained as usual.
