Dear Student,
I would say coaching centre material, but that should be the best coaching materials because they have precise notes and concepts more from exam point of view. Like if want to go for mains, they will have different material that will only contain the appropriate and precised content for only JEE mains.
Whereas, if you choose books like H.C. Verma and Pradeep, you will read and try to grasp everything written in the book, may it be of your use from JEE mains point of view or not. Because, it contains material for JEE mains as well as JEE advanced and also for various other entrance examinations.
You can use Pradeep Book if you don't want to go for coaching notes, it has detailed theory on each topic, but do keep a detailed syllabus of JEE mains by your side while reading the book and only focus more upon the topics being mentioned in the syllabus. Because it is a vast book and if you will try reading it whole, you will have either no time to read it fully or no time for revision will be left for you.
And you can use H.C. Verma for questions. It has good conceptual as well as numerical questions for JEE mains.
Happy Learning!
Jee main level is basic. If you stick to the NCERT books and notes and study material of coaching that will be sufficient.
But HC Verma and Pradeep's objective will help you in this time to time tou should take chapter mock test, previous year questions to understand the examination pattern.

Hope this helps!!
All the best!!
It depends as if you are doing coaching from an institution then focus only on the coaching materials as the teachers will guide you on the basis of their materials and that will be more beneficial .
And if you are doing self study then try for books like H.C. Verma , S.L. Arora or Pradeep books. They will make your base stronger and try to practice as much as questions possible because the most important thing for any exam is your practice and clearance of the topics and not on the study materials as each book have the same concepts and questions and topics , so try to stick at one and practice more. And one important thing is that try to revise the topics as much as possible and be so sure that the topics which you have studied for the exam , the questions asked on them will not be wrong .
Hope it helps.....
