Hii soham,
UGC stands for University Grants Commission it is an autonomous body which will give standards for the university by studying each and every aspect of the university. The UGC defines the potential of the university. The UGC has to take care of the university because there will be some institutes affiliated to that university and hence all the requirements and process should be taken care off by the University.
Whereas AICTE is a All India Council for Technical Education will take care of the maintenance and development of Technical education.Every College that conducts technical education like Btech,Mtech,BSc,MSc ,MCA,MBA must be approved by the AICTE.The institutes which conduct non technical education like BA,MA,BCom does not need a AICTE approval.Only university requires UGC approval. No college needs AICTE approval until and unless it has Technical Education.
If you want to go for Technical,You must choose the college/institute apparoved by AICTE.
Thank you.
HelloSoham,
UGC and AICTE are two types of apex organisations that cater to higher studies in India.
One of the main differences between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is that the AICTE one basically deals with technical education.
