Hey,
It's quite difficult to say about earnings of any doctor in India let alone superspecialists. In a diverse country like India it's highly unpredictable as doctors practice in clinics, nursing homes, corporate hospitals, government setups and medical colleges. So it's not uniform to say who earn more. We have some very high end cardiac surgeons who makes huge amount unimaginable to a neurosurgeons. But when you take an average cardiac or neurosurgeons then it's usually based on establishment. A cardiac surgeon needs a big team to establish himself . He needs a cardiologist to co manage and a team of OT staff and good ICU setup. There is no small setup for a cardiac surgeon and getting cases right after his residency or training is quite difficult and patients tends to verify a lot before getting admitted hence it's a long way for a cardiac to establish himself. For neurosurgeons, we have a choice to establish small and pull off gradually or get a team and go for big setup. It's just that neurosurgeons may have it easy to establish if one wants to go solo than cardiac surgeons. So I would only say in terms of establishment. In terms of making money it's open and diverse. There are are many physicians who make a lot than surgeons and vice versa and it all depends on how well one is established. In the end money follows the doctor who is compassionate towards the patient.
Hope this helps.
