Comparison between aiims kalyani and bsa medical college delhi, pros and cons of both.
Greetings,
- AIIMS Kalyani is a new establishment (2019) so apart from the AIIMS tag that you get, there is not much in the way of culture or reputation for it as of now. Whereas BSA, Delhi is also relatively new (2016) but has the added 4 years of experience.
- Fees wise, AIIMS would naturally be cheaper than BSA
- Facilities and accommodation are better at AIIMS than BSA as there are certain guidelines for such colleges to follow, the current students say that BSA already has maintenance issues.
- Hospital and clinical exposure wise, BSA, as of now, is better equipped and the hospital is also good.
- Faculty and academic quality is arguably better than AIIMS.
- Both these colleges lack student cultures, and active student bodies as of now
Hope it helped,
good luck
AIIMS is undoubtedly a very prestigious University to pursue MBBS. But AIIMS Kalyani is is a very new established institution and the infrastructure has not build up fully right now. Classes takes place in College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, Kalyani. But AIIMS provide all the lab infrastructure and equipments that you need to purform any laboratories work. They have some excellent lot of faculties. The HOD of all the department are excellent and very much helpful. Whatever though it's a very new established Institute there may be some of the disadvantages though the name AIIMS is enough to describe all. on the other hand BSA Medical College and Hospital is one of the oldest hospital in Delhi. Though the college campus is not that much big, but it also provide excellent facilities and infrastructure that a MBBS student need. Nearly every student gets a PG seat since IP University has a great UG:PG seat ratio. This may change though, since the DU colleges have filed a case for a common PG counselling in Delhi. Whatever comparison may not be appropriate but you can choose AIIMS over BSA.
