Hello Aspirant, NCERT is self satisfied for Chemistry portion of JEE Mains, but you need more books to practice in Physics and Mathematics other NCERT to get a rank in JEE Main.NCERT is the most important book for JEE Main, question comes directly in JEE Main from NCERT but a lonely its not self sufficient as you can't understand all the chapters from NCERT and it does not have a lot of question to practice.You should also use past years paper for practice.

No absolutely not...No matter how thoroughly you will complete NCERT, you will not get good marks or rank in JEE.Questions are not easy and straightforward, you need basics as well as deep knowledge of all the tools to solve the questions.NCERT is good and you should always start with it but it will never take you to NITs.
You can follow these books for getting good rank in JEE.

Apart from that solve past year question papers.
