Hello Vamshi,

I will try to explain you briefly and point wise about computer arithmetic in Computer Organization. Computer arithmetic handled by  ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) , which is located in CPU.

1. The ALU is a digital circuit that provides arithmetic and logic operations .

2.  It is the fundamental building block of the central processing unit of a computer.

3. Performs arithmetic and logic operations on data – everything that we think as  “computing.”

4. Examples of arithmetic operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication,  and division. Examples of logic operations are comparisons of values such as NOT, AND, and OR.

Hope It helps you. If you have any other question or doubts feel free to ask us in comment box.
