Dear aspirant,

Those few students who score high rank and join EC are those who wish to do indepth learning and maybe in the future proceed for higher studies like MTECH or ME in either antenna/communication system/VLSI. The field of EC requires a lot of time and studies as well as a lot of funds for the courses as they are not expensive. In the fiels of CS you are basically guranteed a join in a mass recruiting company after you bachelors degree however that is not the case for EC. These students skip the placement rounds in college as most EC students get placed in It or CS jobs and they directly aim for jobs after masters.

The career for EC student depends if he or she wants to proceed to core EC or just is there because they didn't get CS OR IT.

For core EC students, it's study of 6 years straigh

for those who wish to get placed it will take 4 years of bachelors degree.

You can say Computer science has become number one choice for students now a days.Even I am student of computer science only difference is on campus since computer science can't sit in campus for electrical companies but EC students can sit in software companies
