Computer science or mechanical engineering in which engineering will I get more placement?
Computer science:-
The expected salary for freshers is from Rs. 2.4 Lakh PA to Rs. 8.5 Lakh PA for jobs in India by the major MNCs. However, this goes up to Rs. 1 Crore PA for jobs offered to IITians by IT giants like Facebook, Google and Twitter. The top notch financial sector giants like Moodys, Meryl & Lynch, Poor & Standard, HSBC, City Bank etc offer Rs. 10-30 Lakh PA to the graduates of IITs, NITs, VIT, BITS and Manipal. The middle range MNCs like Mu-Sigma and Samsung easily offer Rs. 6.5 Lakh to Rs. 8.5 Lakh PA to the graduates of government and better private engineering colleges.
Mechanical engineering:-

But in Mechanical engineering there is so much scope and so higher chances of getting government jobs.
Still computer science is better option
Hope it will help
Hello dear
Obviously you will get more and maximum number of campanies in CSE .
But it is not that mechanical engineers do not get placement ;it is up to you that how much skills you have ( they judge your personality ; communication ; soft skills and technical skills ) so depending upon your skills you can earn more than a cs Engineer .
But generally on campus placement of cs branch is high and number of placements is also more.( Their are many factors like companies ; students interest as many mechanical engineers move towards government sector ; subjects ; reappearing etc .)
Good luck.
Hello Preet!
First of all engineering departments depends only on your interest. If you are interested in computer science then you should go for that and if you are interested in mechanical engineering you should go for that. Now coming back to your question if you are asking in terms of placement in colleges then computer science is better option than mechanical engineering.
Now if you are thinking for government jobs then mechanical engineering is better than computer science.
Hope it answer your concerns.
