Hello aspirant,

Symptom of corotoid are as follows -

  • Sudden loss of vision, blurred vision, or difficulty in seeing out of one or both eyes.
  • Weakness, tingling, or numbness on one side of the face, one side of the body, or in one arm or leg.
  • Sudden difficulty in walking, loss of balance, lack of coordination.

It also should be considered for those with 50 to 69 percent stenosis. Doctors agree that for most patients with moderate to severe blockage, surgery is the safest and most effective treatment, if it is done by a surgical team that has a very low complication rate.

Some possible complications of carotid endarterectomy include:
  • Stroke or TIA.
  • Heart attack.
  • Pooling of blood into tissue around the incision site causing swelling.
  • Nerve problems with certain functions of the eyes, nose, tongue, or ears.
  • Bleeding into the brain (intracerebral hemorrhage)
  • Seizures (uncommon)

Hope this helps you.
