Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned about the name of examination so it is little bit difficult to guide you accurately. However, considering your profile you are an engineering aspirant, so this answer will be given for JEE-Main and if you want to ask about any other exam then please mention it in comment section.

Since last year result declaration pattern for JEE-Main has been changed by NTA, now percentile instead of marks are declared in result to avoid unfair ranking. So to calculate your approximate rank from percentile we have general formula mentioned below :-

(100 - your percentile)*869010/100

Here, 869010 is the number of candidates appeared for JEE-Main January 2020 session.

You can also get details about marks Vs percentile for JEE-Main from the link given below :-

On the basis of your above calculated rank you can use JEE-Main College Predictor Tool, link for the same is given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hi Raju,

There is no rank vs percentile formula. We predict rank based on past year trend and results. It is not accurate exactly but is approximation of what is possible.

Although we have following formula to calculate rank using our percentile.

JEE Main 2020 rank (probable) = (100- NTA percentile score ) X no. of students appeared in the paper /100

Thanks.
