  • It is difficult to get a seat outside jammu and kashmir with a marks of 550
  • Chances of increase in tge cutoff from year to year may play a vital role
  • You can get a hood clg in jk as there are ample seats.

Best of luck!!

Hey!

Jammu and Kashmir has opted out of 15% All India Quota which is the gateway to admission into a government meedical college outside your state. Hence, you can only apply for government medical colleges from your state through NEET. However following are exceptions wherein you can get medical seats:

1. Private and Deemed Medical Colleges

2. AIIMS

3.JIPMER

4. AFMC

5. CMC, Vellore (Although i am unsure of its situation now)

Unfortunately no, since the colleges you mentioned are state government run. The colleges in the exception list are central or autonomous. State colleges will follow the 85% state reservation and 15%AIQ rule.

Jammu & Kashmir MBBS admission 2018 will be done under the supervision of the J & K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE). Jammu & Kashmir candidates will not be eligible for the 15% all India quota seats as Jammu & Kashmir Board has opted out of the from NEET national level counseling. However, candidates who belong to the state of Jammu & Kashmir will be granted admissions in MBBS and BDS courses in the medical and dental colleges of Jammu and Kashmir on the basis of NEET scores. Candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir are totally entitled to the 100% of their state seats and are not required to fill self-declaration whereas candidates who parents work in Jammu & Kashmir and are not permanent residents will have to fill the self-declaration. Eligible students who wish to get admission in the state quota need to appear for the NEET (UG) 2018 exam which is conducted by the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE)
