CLAT examination is must if you want to enter into NLUs. But yes there are many private universities that don't require CLAT and take admission either on their respective entrance exams or else +2 percentage. Some of the top law private entrance exams are SET for Symbiosis Law School, ULSAT for UPES Dehradun, LSAT for Jindal Law School, etc. Government Law College Mumbai takes admission as per the marks scored in 10+2.
