It's very good that you're thorough with the NCERTs. This will surely get you admission in good government college. Well, only referring and learning won't get you good marks but along with it .. the mcqs practice.. question solving.. the last 10 years paper solving.. which will give you question-level-pattern idea- like how n what type of concept based questions are asked and the relating stuff. Lastly revising your work is a must so as to keep it in your mind for a longer time. Hope you're getting my point.!

So prepare well and study smart.! Gone your Bestttt !!!

If you'll do this then surely you can score above 600+ which will definitely get you government college seat.
