Hi,
The best example of the enviormental degredation and people's movements is in chipko movement, large population of people grab trees for long time to stop the cutting of trees. As, trees are very valuable part of an ecosystem. They are the home of many animals and birds. They rely on them for their food and feeding stuff.In this movement a large population of women were taken part.
