Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Dhanbad is an older department with good Faculty, Placements, Infrastructure and Research Facilities. IIT Jodhpur, although being one of those IITs with one of a kind AC hostels and several other modern amenties, it lacks the Outlook and Research Potential currently, being a very new Institute. Placements at CSE IIT Dhanbad are more than 90% each season with Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe and Goldman Sachs being major recruiters. Another critical factor in preferring IIT Dhanbad is the rich campus life and culture you will experience which is somethat at par with the  other Top 8 IITs.

IIT DHANBAD :-

All India rank - 11 in 2020

IIT Jodhpur :-

All India RANKING - 17  in 2020

Publisher - nirf

so according to RANKING and reviews of students IIT DHANBAD will be better  compare to IIT Jodhpur.
