I don't know much about Amrita University but CSE at VIT is a good option because of the following points : -

1. Curriculum of CSE / IT is regularly updated.
2. Lot of clubs and chapters like Apple Developers Group ( ADG ) , Google Developers Group ( GDG ) , ACM etc. which give ample exposure.
3. Tons of companies visiting the campus for recruitment and internships. If you have good coding skills you can bag a decent package.

The cons of joining VIT :

1. Huge intake of students depletes overall quality and one has to maintain a decent CGPA to get shortlisted for dream and super dream companies.
