You can choose what you are strong at.Younhave to understand your true potential.Now, civil services and ssc cgl are two different exams and their syllabus has a lot of differences so you have to study accordingly.One more thing i want to clear you is that choosing subject after after 12th doesn't matter much because civil services as well as ssc exams are also cracked by commerce and science students too.So, drop that idea which you are having.

Though you have mentioned that you are interested in geography and political science then that great because both are important subjects for civil services and can definitely help you later.
