Currently I'm in class 10 I want to become judge so what I have to choose further for my studies ?
Hi,
I would like to one more thing in Neha's anwer "Clearing the All India Bar Examination is not a pre-requisite for
entering judicial service. Further, separate examinations are prescribed
for entry to the judicial services in India and you should obtain
further details in this regard. Do note, however, that if eligibility to
practice law or experience as an advocate are necessary prerequisites
for qualification to the judiciary, you may have to successfully clear
the All India Bar Examination if you have graduated from the academic
year 2009-2010 onwards."
I hope it helps!
Hi there,
It's great to see your enthusiasm towards fulfilling your dream.
As you are in Class X first of all focus on boards. Get a high percentage and then choose any stream of your preference either Science, Commerce or Arts. Along eith studying your school subjects in class XI-XII start preparing for Common Law Addmission Test (CLAT). CLAT is the entrance exam you will have to write to get into a law college that will provide you dual degrees of either B.Sc LLB or B.Com LLB or BA LLB depending upon the subject you chose in class XI-XII. It will be a five year course.
After completion of the 5 year course you will have to write the qualifying exam of The Bar Council of India to become a licensed Advocate with the permit of practicing all over the country.
It is advicable to start preparation of the Judiciary Exams from your 3rd year of UG college. To become a Judge in India, you will have to write the Judiciary Exams, craxkicr which you'll become a Judge in any High Court of India.
