Hi dear,

The Cut off for Electronic Engg. And Mechnical Engg. varies from different NITs. The cutoff and seat allotment process is prepared by JoSSA. The number if Factors on which Cut off of various NIT's for these two branches depends on :

  • The difficulty level of the JEE Main
  • The number of candidates taking the exam, especially those opting for ECE
  • The number of sanctioned seats at an institute
  • Previous year’s cutoff rank
  • How candidates perform in the exam
  • Number of questions asked in the exam

Some NIT's require your rank below 10k ,Some require rank below 20k and some 30k to give you admission in Home State Quota.

Eg. NITs like NIT Warangal, trichy,Surathkal , Allahabad,Calicut, Jaipur, Nagpur,Rourkela gives you admission if you score rank below 10k in home state.

Hope this helps
