Hie Nilesh,

Yes, you can take any of the subjects mentioned except physical education. Moreover, you rightly said that there will be a 2.5% deduction because you have not studied physical education. For sure you are welcome for any queries.

Good Luck!

If you don't mind,That isn't Physical Education....I mean that is POLITICAL SCIENCE...................which I am not studying in class 12 and wants to take it as hns. paper.According to you Aggregate marks hardly matters or doesn't matter. If I get good marks in PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY,ENGLISH, AND COMPUTER SCIENCE, I can take admission in good colleges like HINDU COLLEGE or Any other college where POLITICAL SCIENCE hns.is offered.Am i getting right or something wrong??Actually I don't want to study Mathematics any more so I want to escape from it So,I am selecting subjects except Mathematics. And if aggregate marks does not matter while taking admission, It would be relief for me.So please help me and also tell thatWHICH SUBJECTS ARE OFFERED WITH POLITICAL SCIENCE HNS.IN COLLEGES IN SOME OF THE BEST COLLEGES IN NORTH CAMPUS LIKE HINDU COLLEGE AND ALL.

Hie Nilesh,What I have understood from your conversation is you wish to study Physical education and take admission in du for political science hons. course. Is it so? You can have an idea from the previous year cutoff wherein I think you can exclude mathematics in best of four but some colleges put additional eligibility criteria which are revealed at the time of admission and cut off the release. So for now prepare and study well for your board exams. Score well and fill the du application form and take admission wherever you get a college in du. Don't stick or wait for later cutoffs. You might lose the seat you would be getting earlier as you can always withdraw and take admission in a college of your choice in the second and further cut-offs.The syllabus remains the same under all the colleges of DU while the optional subjects might vary from college to college which a student gets to know only at or after admission.Hope you are now clear with everything!

Hie Nilesh,

DU calculates cutoff differently for different courses. Like for any life science program, PCB is taken into consideration while that for physical science PCM is taken into consideration. Similarly for B.Com best of 4 including one language course is calculated. So if you mention the course name we can tell you the exact procedure.

Good Luck!

I think English and any three core subjects marks will be counted and deduction of 2.5 %will also be done because of not being POLITICAL SCIENCE in class 12 and I am taking it as my hns.paper.
