During the interview, you'll face a question as to why you took a two year drop. However, it should have a drastic effect on your placement and such. The more important things to take care of are your grades in engineering and to gather skills, along with doing projects. That'll be the focal point in the interview. If you plan on doing an MBA after B-Tech, there will be questions regarding the two year drop but again, your performance in graduate course will be given more importance.
