Dear sir can you give me any idea, how to study physics for neet
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
To study Physics for NEET UG Entrance Examination, follow these steps -
Selection Of Books
Theory
If you do not know anything about Physics, you need to purchase
SL Arora.
However if you have some knowledge about Physics and your basics are almost clear, purchase
Understanding Physics Series (Set Of 5 Books) by DC Pandey.
Dont solve questions from this book, rather study the theory portion and go through the solved examples.
Question Practise
For MCQs, purchase Objective Physics For NEET/AIIMS/JIPMER by DC Pandey. Also solve all the questions given in NCERT Physics book.
Thank You
Best Of Luck
Most of the NEET Aspirants have developed a habit of learning everything. This approach may help them in NEET Biology but not in NEET Physics.
When you try to study Physics without having any practical edge to your preparation plan, you feel that you have understood all the concepts but during examinations you wont be able to apply the same.
So, to overcome this problem below I have provided the perfect study plan and preparation tips to crack NEET Physics.
NEET Physics comprises of following topics:
Mechanics
Electrodynamics
Modern Physics
Heat and Thermodynamics
Optics
SHM and Waves
Before you get to know the Preparation Tips to crack Physics Section, have a look at the weightage each topic contains:
The following weightage of the NEET Physics Chapters is from 2018 Exam.
1.Mechanics-28.89%
2.Electrodynamics-22.22%
3.Modern Physics-17.78%
4.Heat and Thermodynamics-11.11%
5.Optics-11.11%
6.SHM and Waves-8.89%
Clear Your Concepts
According to Previous Year Papers, Mechanics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics are the most important topics in NEET Physics. So for your Physics Preparation, you must first clear the concepts related to these topics. Once you clear all the concepts, you are now ready to follow the next step.
Learn Formula's
Formulas are the backbone of Physics. Learning Formulas is the most important step while preparing NEET Physics. So, try to learn those formulas daily. Make a small diary and write all the Physics Formula for NEET. Now, you just need to revise those formulas daily, once or twice a day.
Refer Best Books
NCERT is the best book to prepare for NEET Exam. Most of the questions are asked from NCERT book. But for practicing numerical problems, you may refer other books as well. These books include:
Concept of Competition Physics for CBSE PMT by Aggarwals
NCERT- Physics Part 1 and Part 2
Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma
NCERT Physics: CBSE PMT set of 3 Volumes by Anil Aggarwal
Solve Previous Year Question Papers
The best way to prepare for NEET Physics is to solve Previous Year Question Papers. Solving these NEET previous year question papers will help you identify the type of questions asked in the NEET Exam. It also improves your speed and accuracy. So, solve as many question papers as possible and get yourself prepared for the exam.
Make Notes
During your NEET Physics Preparation, you need to make notes of all the important formulas, theorems and concepts. Physics Notes for NEET will help you to learn the concepts faster and will also help you in your last-minute preparation.
Take Online Mock Tests
Taking Online Mock Tests will help you identify your level of preparation that how much you have prepared for the exam. It will also help you identify your weak areas.
Improve Your Weak Areas
Try to improve your weak areas. Focus more on the topics in which you are weak. Make a list of those topics and try to improve those. You must start with the most important topics of NEET Physics and after that prepare for the less important ones.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Thanks for contacting Careers360.
Physics is based on a number of central theories. Unless and until you understand the central theories, other concepts and topics won’t make sense to you. So, you need to clear your basics first. Refer to the NCERT textbooks and understand all the concepts, topics, mechanisms, experiments, etc. The descriptions and video tutorials will help you have a better understanding of all the concepts. Also, the cheat sheet section of each concept page provides the important points, formulas, equations, etc. for the concept which makes revision easier. Understand the derivation of the formulas as well.
Refer to the link below. This article of Careers360 will guide you how to prepare for physics portion of NEET.
