Hii

To get Admission in NIT, you need JEE Mains Exam.

Following is the JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria-

Date of Birth-

Candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1994 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2019 exam.

Qualifying Exam-

Candidates must have passed class XII.

If you fulfill both the above Criteria, you can apply for JEE MAINS.

For admissions to NITs-

  • You need to have secured minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
  • For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.

All the best.

Hello Anshu,

Sure you can take two years gap after 10+2 for NITs, IIITs, and other few government engineering colleges. For IITs only, your academic gap after 10+2 should not be more than 1 years. Keep focus on JEE Mains. Because it may affect your placement for few companies only so try for gain Maximum marks in JEE Mains.

Good Luck.
