Hello candidate,

Theoretically, the electric flux is the dot product of the vectors of electric field and area, which in simple words refers to the electric field passing through an area or the number of field lines passing through an area.

The expression for flux is given as Flux= E.A = Electric Field× Area cos theta, where theta is the angle between electric field and area vector.
