Diploma in emergency medicine is competency based training program that is conducted in the workplace. The candidates are required to work 12 months in an emergency department under the supervision of an approved ACEM supervisor . In the course, candidates are expected to undertake six months in an anaesthetics and three months in ICU terms.
Eligibility for the course - candidate must have completed an mbbs with valid MCI registration or state registration from a recognized University. Some Institutes conduct entrance exam .
