Detailed review of MSc course in BITS Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad. Is it a dual degree program or just MSc.

Hello dear,
All three campuses of BITS follow the same course structure. The quality of teaching and infrastructure is equally good in all three of them. The learning and self-development opportunities and the peer group in all the three campuses are among one of the best in the country. However, during my time (3- 4 years back) the only thing which made a slight difference was a preferential bias for some companies to only recruit from the Pilani campus. I dont know what the situation is today but back then there used to some difference in the on-campus jobs with Pilani campus getting more jobs from established firms. That being said many MNCs even then used to conduct their hiring process from a common pool of students from all three campuses. However, do note that campus level jobs will have only a slight impact in your career in the long run. Getting a pedigree education from BITS will position you to compete in different career directions from UPSC to MS to Higher Management Posts as is already evidenced by our distinguished alumni.
The only backdrop I see is that the Fees for BITS has been raised as compared to a few years back. A years fee would be somewhere in the region of 3.5 Lakhs plus whereas the fees for NITs might be lower.
Please make an informed decision regarding your education but do note that college education is only a starting step for your career. The rest will depend on your ability to learn, manage and produce tangible results for your organization. All the best for the future!
