Hello Harsha,
The following are the main engineering branches which are offered by most of the colleges in india -
1. Computer Science Engineering (CSE/IT) - Computer science engineers are involved in all the aspects of computing, from the design of microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit and writing software and programs that powers them.
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering - Electronics and communications engineers involves in design, development and testing of the electronic equipment used in different systems.
3. Electrical Engineering - Electrical Engineering is branch of Engineering which deals with the study of application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism.
4. Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical engineers design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
5. Civil Engineering - Civil engineering is a engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.
6. Agricultural Engineering - Design agricultural machinery components and equipment, using CAD technology.
7. Production and Industrial Engineering - It is a discipline that includes manufacturing technology, engineering sciences, management science, and complex processes, systems.
I hope it helps you !
